The South Texas Botanical Gardens & Nature Center introduces a new WINTER LECTURE
SERIES for Texas winter visitors and area residents. Guest speakers will present unique
perspectives on regional environmental, agricultural and horticultural topics from
10 to 11:30 a.m., most Wednesday mornings in December and January, in the Visitors Center,
8545 S. Staples.
Winter Lecture Series dates and topics are:
December 6: Keeping Holiday Plants Healthy
December 13: Earth-Kind Approaches to Gardening
December 20: Meet the “Natives”
January 10: Easy & Exotic Orchids
January 17: Natural Heritage of South Texas
January 24: Coastal Bend Agriculture
January 31: Wetland Wonderlands
Cost is General Admission only: Adults, $4; Seniors (65), $3.50. STBGNC members are free.
